Goodbye CCS, Hello Opportunity!

Guys, It's summer! Totally 100% Summer Vacation Time!

I've actually been dreading the fact that it was going to be summer, for one reason, and one reason only. Because I'm moving back out to Gladstone, where I grew up actually, and I'm not going to CCS next year. That meant leaving all of my best friends, the small environment of the school I was in, and just the comfort on not fearing of getting lost while walking from class to class. (Yes, that is a gigantic fear of mine!!)

But then I thought about it some more, and came to realization. I am scared.

Scared of being in a new school. Scared of being in high school. Scared of how big the school is. Scared at the fact that there are going to be twice as many people at the school than previously. Scared of change. Scared of moving from class to class. Scared that I might get lost. Scared that I will get made fun of, or judged for just being me. Just plain scared.

Then I realized how ridiculous I am being. Absolutely ridiculous.

I mean, it's completely natural for a human to be scared, but knowing me, I would make it restrain me from experiencing so many of life's wonders, and the amazing awesomeness of HIGH SCHOOL!

If you know me, you know I like to plan. I like to plan for everything. I am an extremely organized (Although, those of you that have seen my room might disagree, but who cares, you get my drift!) and I have a schedule, and I need to know what's happening, and when. Okay? So moving and going to a totally different school, with a totally different environment makes my whole schedule change. That's what scares me to death, and just being around so many more people, scares me.

Then, I got to thinking, again. I'm not going to let my fear restraining me from making so many awesome memories, and make new friends. I'm not going to let it take over my life, making me curl into a little ball of sadness and fear. No, just no.

So if there are any other people out there that just so happen to come across this, I hope these quotes help you like they helped me! (:

“Each of us must confront our own fears, must come face to face with them. How we handle our fears will determine where we go with the rest of our lives. To experience adventure or to be limited by the fear of it.” ~ Judy Blume

“Waiting to develop courage is just another form of procrastination. The most successful people take action while they’re afraid!”  ~ Unknown‎

“I will not die an unlived life. I will not live in fear of falling or catching fire. I choose to inhabit my days, to allow my living to open me, to make me less afraid, more accessible, to loosen my heart until it becomes a wing, a torch, a promise. I choose to risk my significance; to live so that which comes to me as seed goes to the next as blossom and that which comes to me as blossom, goes on as fruit.” ~ Dawna Markova

And after getting over all my fear, I can not get over how excited I am! I am so ready to get into some theater classes, because many people know that's what I want to do with my life. I just love it! I'm really quite excited to meet new people, now mind you, I used to live in Gladstone, so I already know quite a few of the people already. I'm just excited to be in high school.

High School.

High Schoooolll!

Nope, it still hasn't hit me that I'm a freshman.

I'm a freshman.

Nope, not yet!

Anyways, thank you guys for reading my rant! And before I go, here is one more awesome quote from the lovely Taylor Swift.

“This is a new year. A new beginning. And things will change.” ― Taylor Swift

Crazy Awesome Volleyball Sleepover!

Boy do I have a lot to tell you guys. So sit down, have some lemonade *hands you some virtual lemonade*

So on Saturday, we had our "End-of-the-Year, huge volleyball sleepover extravaganza!!!" *Yes, I did just say that. Deal with it!* Mind you, there are fifteen of us fourteen year old girls, so it's gonna get a little crazy!

We decided to sleep in the garage of one of my closest friends, Alyssa, because we wouldn't all necessarily fit into the house, but we were just fine with it! Throughout the night we were just having fun and playing games, and laughing our butts off, (no joke, I don't think I have ever laughed that much in one night in my whole life!)

At around 12:00am, we were getting a little bored, so we came up with the awesome idea to go forking. What is forking you ask? Well, forking is where you get a BUNCH of clear plastic forks, and you just go stick them in someone's yard, because well, it's funny. Just some stupid humor, I don't know, but I was laughing while doing it.

So we went out to go forking...

We literally had over 100 forks, and we went and put them in someone's yard. I don't know why we thought it was so funny at the moment, because looking back now and realizing how much we were laughing, it just doesn't seem that funny. I just don't get how sticking a bunch of plastic forks in someone's yard be so entertaining and so funny at the same time.

After that, we realized, nope, that wasn't enough, so we went and ha my mom(our coach) put together a scavenger hunt, reminder, it was now around one o' clock in the morning! So here we are, us 15 girls running down the street and laughing our butts off, at absolutely nothing. I don't know, call us crazy. Although, we did drink a lot of soda, and eat a lot of cookies earlier... hmmmm.

Now this is where it starts to get good...

When we got back from the scavenger hunt, my brother, Jordan and his friend Andy asked all of us if we wanted to go play invisible rope.

What's invisible rope you ask? Let's look it up on Urban Dictionary.com, they can explain it probably a lot better than I can...
INVISIBLE ROPE: When one person stands on each side of the street, and when a car comes by, they act as if playing tug of war across the street. I guarantee someone will stop, thinking that something is there.

Alright, now that we got that out of the way, we all went out to play it at 2:00 in the morning. So now there is 17 of us, out there in the middle of the road at two o'clock in the morning. We actually got some people pretty good, surprisingly.

Then this car comes by, cussing us out, threatening that he was going to call the cops on us. We didn't really believe him, thinking he was just joking, not really taking to mind that he was being serious, and that we were possibly going to get into trouble.

Not even a minute later, a cop pulls around the corner, and what do all of us do, we run. We ran as fast as we could and cut through a few of Alyssa's neighbors back yards. Our adrenaline was going and we were all freaking out, because, the cops were chasing us. I actually have a big scratch on my leg from hopping over a fence. We all ran back to Alyssa's garage where my mom was sleeping and of course, we're all panting when we get in there, so we woke my mom up.

She got up, and started counting people, making sure we were all there before she found out what was going on. Jordan was missing. We lost him, and we all thought that he'd gotten caught, and we got busted. In the midst of everything, and everyone freaking out, we were all trying to explain what went on to my mom. Around two minutes later Jordan came bursting through the side door of the garage.

He told us how he dove into a bush, and hoped that the cop wouldn't see him. And once the cop was out of his sight, he hopped a fence and quickly ran back to the garage. Little did we know, the cop got out of his car and started to search the property, trying to find us. My stomach was in my throat at this point, so we all turned the lights off, and laid in our beds, and kept as quiet as possible.

This was the biggest adrenaline rush, and craziest thing ever! I was so pumped by the time it was over. In reality, we weren't doing anything illegal, the only real thing that we would get in trouble for was probably being out past curfew  which, i think is ridiculous. But that by far, was the best "End-of-the-year, volleyball sleepover extravaganza" EVER!!!!!!!!!

P.S. This story is 100% true.

Decisions, Decisions

So lately, I've been in a bit of a funk.

No the kind of funk that you kind of just hop out of in about a week, or sleep for thirteen hours straight and then you figure out that you were just really tired. Don't worry, I've already tried that.

I have the wonderful decision of trying to decide if I want to change to a bigger public school or not. And I've been given a month to decide, and quite frankly I don't know.

So I've decided to make a list of the pros and cons of each school.

Molalla

Pros:
~ It's a bigger school, so I would have a ton more classes to choose from (i.e. drama, theater, all that good stuff!)

~ I would get to meet a lot more people

~ My friends are going there too, and I have friends I used to go to school with there (Shout out to Nicole and my Brookie Monster!)

~ The dress code would be less strict

~ The teachers would be good at teaching.

Cons:
~ The classes are bigger. (I work better in smaller classes)

~ The teachers wouldn't necessarily know you as personally as at Country Christian

~ I might not have all the same classes with my best friends

~ I have to go to the same school as my brother

~ I have to get up earlier in the morning

Country Christian

Pros

~ The classes are smaller, so you know everyone individually

~ The school is one big family, and everyone truly cares for you

~ I get to learn about God everyday, read my Bible everyday, and Worship every Friday freely... AT SCHOOL!

~ I would get to play a lot more when playing basketball

~ Half days on Fridays

Cons

~ There aren't as many opportunities for what you want to major in

~ The teachers aren't the best

~ The school lunches suck.

~ No wearing shorts, except for in PE

Well, I'm very indecisive. I really don't know. Although, it really helped me to make these lists...

Sorry if I bored you.

... Yeahhhh....

Happy Friday Everyone!

Well, Hello!

Oh My Lanta! It has been forever since I have blogged, about anything!

I guess I have just been really busy with school work, and basketball, plus volleyball just started! I am one busy girl!

I thought I could squeeze this in here, because, you know, I have time.

So, what's been going on with me you ask? Here, sit down, this could take a while. Would you like a cookie? *sends virtual cookie*

Okay, so the main reason why I have been so busy is because of science. We just recently had our science fair, and I was so stressed out about my project. I have to admit I was really irresponsible this year and waited until the night before to get started on the actual board. I'm telling you, that is the last time I ever do that, okay. In the end I was pretty happy about how my board turned out, considering that it was a 4 hour thing! I ended up getting second place on it, so I was pretty happy.

Basketball finally ended! :( We made it all the way to the championship game and lost, so we came in second. It was heartbreaking. I was so upset, but then I looked back at it and was happy that we had made it as far as we did. I have to say it was a really amazing season, and I couldn't have asked for a better team!

This is our team when we went to the mall (dressed in 80s outfits) and did a scavenger hunt! It was so much fun!
Okay, i'm just gonna keep going on about random stuff, because, yeah, that's what's been going on.

I just started volleyball again last Wednesday! It felt so good to play volleyball again! I missed it a lot, and the great thing is, our team is amazing! Last year, we weren't very good, at all. (we lost every. single. game) but this year, we have a whole different team! I love it! But we are only one practice into the season, so that's that.

Easter.

My Easter was pretty good, actually. I ate lots of food!

The day before Easter we, as in my brother, mom and I, went to  my moms friends house and we were just going to spend the night there, because since we have no more family that lives in Oregon, we didn't want Easter to be just the three of us. Let's just say, we had a lot of fun laughing our butts off... And can we please talk about that weather for a second!

Oh my, it was amazing! I loved the fact that I was sweating! I just love the sun!

So here are some pictures from Saturday and Sunday(:
Yes, I was wearing a tank-top and shorts(From Saturday)

Me and My mom. We are so weird. We know.

We went to the Saturday Market in Portland, this is in front of the "Keep Portland Weird" Sign

The BEAUTIFUL weather!

Me and My friend Melissa(:

Easter was a lot of fun though, I ate so much food.

Moving along....

Yesterday was my birthday! I am officially 14!

Overall, my birthday was a ton of fun! I had a half day at school, which was a plus to my day, but school was really good. A kid in my class kept teasing me that he was going to show up at my house and come to my birthday party. He just kept ranting on about it, and I have to admit it was really funny, because one, my party isn't even until the summer, and two, he said he was going to show up in a speedo. Awkward.

Added too that, my dad drove all the way from Portland out to my school to bring me roses, cupcakes and balloons! It was awesome. And after school my friend Audrey, Sam, and I sat in the commons sucking the helium out of the balloons making our voices sound funny. (I almost died of laughter, Sam really knows how to make me laugh)

So my day at school was awesome, I laughed a lot. Seriously. (Oh I have to mention this. I got a dollar from my best friend, Hailey. Score!)  :D

I got home and waited for my mom to get there because we had plans to go get my triple helix piercings! When she did we left right away.

And as I was in the car, I started to get extremely nervous. Needless to say it's been 14 years since I have gotten my ears pierced, so I didn't know what it was going to feel like. I was so scared. This is what the triple helix piercing is, for any of you that don't know:

Since flat-backs like the earrings in the picture above are illegal to pierce your ears with now, I had to get hoops, which looks the same-ish. I'm just happy that I can change them out in a few weeks, so it will look like the picture above!

Getting it done didn't hurt that bad. My mom said I didn't even flinch. But let me just say... it hurts if you sleep on it. Seriously. But I like it, so I will have to deal with the pain.

After I went and got my ears pierced we went to the mall and I got me some One Direction t-shirts, so I can wear them with pride! :D Finally when we were done with the mall, we went and ate at my favorite resturaunt, Changs(:

I had a really awesome birthday.

Aaaaannnddd

I think that's about it for this blog. Yeah, that seems about right.

Happy Saturday Everyone!

First Basketball Game!

Okay, so i worked up the nerve this year to go ahead an play basketball... well, with a few bribes and a lot of thinking... But after all that.. I decided to play!

Everyone was so super surprised that is was only my first year of playing, because you know, I'm a freakishly huge giant. 5 10" to be exact! Yeah, that's right!

My first game was on the 8th, that's a Wednesday... And it was at 4:00 to be exact! Yes, I'm specific like that! I thought it went pretty well.

I felt the need to make this extra large....
Jordan got this picture of me when I was checking in for my game... It's just... so.... good!!!

Well, we won that game by I think 20, which was pretty good, considering our coach told us that it would probably be the hardest game of the whole season! I was actually pretty shocked at how much playing time I got, considering it was my first game of basketball... EVER!

I really am starting to like basketball! It's so much fun, not to mention the great exercise I get while doing it! Plus I love my team, so I'm happy I started to play! I think I'll stick with it too... I don't know yet though....
